So yesterday I had my first fashion shoot for my best friend's clothing line, which she'll be launching online soon! I was feeling a bit apprehensive at first because I hardly have any experience shooting clothes, plus this was the first time that I was going to be the sole photographer so medyo lang...pressure diba! We shot in a condo in Makati and just made use of the light there. We didn't even use reflectors or spotlights. (I have no idea yet how to use them nor do I have ze equipment.)
I started out with my Canon 350D and later on switched to my Lumix because of its massive screen and so I could use its wide angle lens later on. 6 hours, 280 photos, 2 camera batteries and piles of clothes later, we were finally done! Gosh, I've never shot myself to the point of exhaustion before. During the last hour, I had run out of background ideas and poses for the model plus I was all over the place trying to get good angles. Climbing chairs, lying on the floor, you name it! Being a photographer is mentally AND physically tiring ha! And naka Lumix pa lang ako dyan! Imagine if I had used my SLR with all its heavy lenses!
It was a great experience nonetheless and if anything, has only fueled my desire to learn how to properly shoot in various lighting conditions! There's still so much to learn!!!
